Elissa L. Schilling

Elissa Schilling’s legal career is built on a foundation of real-world experience, a strong work ethic, and a deep commitment to helping her community. Before becoming an attorney, Elissa spent nearly a decade working as a paralegal in a workers’ compensation defense firm, where she gained firsthand insight into the legal system and the value of clear, compassionate advocacy.

She began her academic journey at the University of California, Santa Cruz, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Printmaking. Her interest in law developed on the job, prompting her to return to school and earn her Associate in Science in Paralegal Studies with honors from Fullerton College. That experience ultimately led her to pursue a law degree.

Elissa earned her Juris Doctor from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law in 2024, attending on a 75% merit scholarship. During law school, she externed with the Orange County Probate Court—a formative experience that deepened her understanding of the court’s role in families’ lives and solidified her desire to work in probate and estate planning. She also interned with two firms specializing in estate planning and probate matters, gaining practical experience in conservatorships, trust administration, and estate disputes.

After graduating law school, Elissa sat for and passed the California Bar Exam in July 2024. At the firm, Elissa supports the estate planning, probate administration, and business formation teams with a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach. Drawing on her creative background, her ability to think both analytically and creatively brings a fresh perspective to complex matters.

Outside of her legal work, Elissa enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Milk and Penny, and believes that life’s small joys are just as important as its major milestones.
